It is true that men’s interest in skincare and the proportion of men receiving dermatologic treatments have increased significantly compared to the past. However, compared to women, many men still have less treatment experience and often feel uncertain about which treatments they should receive.

In today’s case, the patient initially visited due to acne on the chin, but ultimately, this was a case where improving the overall quality and condition of the skin was the most important goal.

Case 98. Male, mid-30s

Primary concern:
Acne

Previous treatment history:
Underwent acne laser treatment 2–3 years ago

[Skin Assessment]

  1. Breakouts around the chin
  2. Acne marks and residual scars

Along with accompanying blemishes and pigmentation, the face overall appeared
3. Dull and uneven in tone.

[Solution]

Because the breakouts around the chin were occurring mainly in areas where beard hair removal is done,

  1. We recommended combining treatment with beard hair removal.

For the acne marks and blemish pigmentation,
2. We advised mark-removal laser treatment, and to restore brightness and a healthy glow to the dull skin,
3. Juvelook treatment was recommended (especially since enlarged pores and uneven texture were also a concern).

As the treatment progressed past the mid-sessions, his girlfriend, family members, and people around him began to notice that his skin had improved, which made him even more motivated and happy to continue the treatments.

Before treatment vs. After treatment

Even in the mode that allows you to compare pigmentation and marks before and after treatment, you can see that the traces of pigmentation, blemishes, and spots have been noticeably cleared and refined.

Even in a close-up of the eye area, you can see how much clearer and brighter the skin has become.

Of course, what the patient was most satisfied with was noticing the skin’s glow after combining the treatment with the Juvelook skin booster.

When you look at the skin before and after treatment in Glow Mode (SL), can you imagine what the actual skin condition looked like after completing the treatment?

It was a case where the skin was even fairer and more radiant than mine, which honestly made me a little jealous. (Jealous!)

Thank you.
