Mid-Face & Under-Eye Hollows: Before & After (Filler Case Study)
Over time, I’ve learned that the best portfolio posts are the ones that are short, clear, and easy to scan—so here’s a quick, real-world look at mid-face and under-eye hollowing treatment with filler.
Timeline: Before: 2023.01.31 – After: 2023.02.15
Photo note: Shared with consent. These are original photos of the same person, taken in the same location, with no editing.
Important: Results vary from person to person. Please make sure you have a detailed consultation in advance about possible side effects such as pigmentation, bruising, swelling, and more.
Under-eye hollowing and mid-face volume loss are very common, natural signs of aging. As the supporting volume decreases, the under-eye area can look more shadowed and tired, and the mid-face can appear flatter or “sunken.”
When you’re looking for a non-surgical option, dermal fillers are often one of the most effective “one-day” solutions for restoring volume and softening shadows.
Case 1: Female, Mid-30s

Concern: Mid-face hollowing & under-eye hollowing

One detail we discussed before treatment: there is a slight under-eye fat bulge on the left side that becomes more noticeable when smiling. I explained this natural asymmetry in advance so expectations were clear before proceeding.
Before vs. After

Even with mid-face filler alone, you can see the face looks noticeably firmer, healthier, and more refreshed—mainly because restoring mid-face volume helps reduce shadows and improves overall contour.
That said, if we also treated the nasolabial folds (smile lines), the overall balance could look even smoother.
If you’re hesitant about filler and you’re exploring how to improve mid-face hollowing without traditional fillers, please check out the Juvederm Voluma collagen injection treatment review.
