Lately, we’ve been receiving a lot of inquiries about eye wrinkles, but sometimes what patients are concerned about is actually hollowing of the upper eyelid rather than true wrinkles.

I’ve prepared today’s post—Let’s go!
Did you know that the upper eyelids actually have a layer of plump fat? This fat helps give the eyes a smooth, youthful contour.

As we age, just like baby fat disappears, the fat in the upper eyelid gradually diminishes and the eyelid skin becomes thinner.
Some people are naturally born with less fat in the upper eyelid and thinner skin. In these cases, even a little fatigue or the end of the day can make the eyes look hollow and tired.
People often ask, “Are you sick?” or “Are you tired today?” because the hollowing makes one look fatigued.
Case 114: Female in her late 30s

The under-eye hollowing is visible because the upper eyelid’s fat layer is thin and the skin covering the eyelid is delicate.

Depending on each person’s skin thickness, elasticity, and the degree of under-eye hollowness, we select the appropriate filler for the procedure.
In today’s case, the treatment was done using Belotero Soft.
Tear trough filler 2cc – Before vs After

There are individual differences, but the bruising and swelling immediately after the procedure are about this mild! You can go about your daily life right away.
The true skill of tear trough filler shows even when the eyes are closed. After the procedure, it was smoothly finished without any lumps or unevenness.

With the real-life photos you sent, it looks like this.

Just looking at the eyes, you can see how incredibly beautiful they are…!!
And their heart is even more beautiful.
Thank you.
