When I meet with brides-to-be getting ready for their wedding day, there’s one concern that comes up more than almost anything else.
It’s this: “I want natural results—nothing that looks obvious or ‘done.’”

These photos are shared with consent. They are original, unedited images of the same person, taken in the same location.
Results vary from person to person. Before any treatment, please make sure you’ve had a thorough consultation about possible side effects, including pigmentation, bruising, and swelling.
A lot of patients worry that forehead filler will make the forehead look puffy, stiff, or unnatural. The good news is: if you’re simply bothered by a slightly flat or sunken area, you can often get a very natural-looking improvement by correcting only the specific spots that stand out—just enough so the concern is no longer noticeable.

Here, you can see a noticeable hollow area above the eyebrows.
Because forehead shapes vary, “more filler” isn’t always the answer. In this case, we added only what was needed to soften the hollowness—so the area that bothered the patient no longer drew attention.
Forehead filler is always a topic people are curious about, but before we talk about results, we always start with something more important: safety and side effects.
1) Possible side effects of forehead filler
Filler can compress or block blood vessels due to the filler particles or the overall volume placed. In rare cases, this can lead to serious complications such as blindness or tissue necrosis.
If complications occur, recovery can take time and outcomes can be severe.
The forehead is considered a higher-risk area because blood vessels are connected to regions near the eyes.

That’s why it’s essential to clearly explain these risks before treatment.

Possible side effects may include web-like reddish-purple discoloration and blistering.
Other side effects can include pain, bruising, swelling, secondary bacterial infection, delayed allergic reactions, and nodule formation.
To help reduce these risks, we take the following precautions:
- We proceed slowly and carefully, avoiding known blood vessel pathways as much as possible.
- Because blood vessels can run in unexpected patterns, we use a cannula when appropriate to reduce the risk of vascular injury.
- In areas where a needle is used, we check negative pressure (aspiration) to help confirm we’re not inside a blood vessel.
- We provide detailed pre- and post-procedure instructions, and we’re prepared to respond quickly with in-clinic care if side effects occur.
Just as we approach the procedure with caution, patients should also fully understand the potential risks before deciding on treatment.
2) Forehead filler 1cc review (natural, “petite” correction)
This patient is a bride-to-be in her 30s with visible hollowness above the eyebrows.
We could have created a more rounded, fuller forehead, but she specifically wanted a subtle, natural change.
So we used a small amount of filler (1cc) to smooth only the noticeable hollows and contours, aiming for a soft, natural-looking forehead rather than dramatic volume.

From a clinician’s perspective, there are always areas we can refine even further. But the patient was happy because the forehead hollowness that had been bothering her no longer stood out—exactly the kind of “quiet” improvement many brides want before the big day.
If you’re looking for subtle, natural correction—enough to smooth the contours without making anything look overdone—feel free to consult Heb Dermatology about petite forehead filler.
Thank you.
