With masks coming off and summer outfits returning, more people are reaching for V-necks, off-shoulder tops, and anything that shows the neckline. And for many of us, that’s the moment we notice it most: neck lines and horizontal neck wrinkles.

Today I’m sharing two real clinic cases—one from a woman in her 40s and one in her 50s—who visited after reading my previous posts and deciding it was finally time to treat their neck wrinkles.

(Thank you for the trust!)

Case 1: Woman in her 40s – Neck Wrinkle Filler + Ulthera

This photo is taken with the chin relaxed and the neck muscles softly released. You can see how the overall loss of elasticity—especially around the jawline and lower face—makes the neck lines look deeper.

Now, here’s the same patient with the chin lifted.

Even with the chin raised, the wrinkles still show as distinct grooves—this is the type of neck line that usually needs a combination approach, not just one procedure.

Here’s how I planned the treatment:

  1. Neck wrinkle filler to lift and smooth the deeper horizontal creases.
  2. Ulthera (firming/lifting) to improve laxity and support the jawline/neck area so the lines don’t “fold” as easily.
  3. Rejuran + Skin Botox to refine the finer, crepey texture and help the skin look tighter and smoother.

So… how did it turn out?

Before & After – Premium Neck Wrinkle Treatment

Two weeks later, any remaining bruising and swelling were minimal—this is the level you’re seeing in the follow-up.

Two-week follow-up after neck wrinkle treatment

About the photos: I intentionally take “before” photos in the most flattering conditions (brighter lighting and a slightly raised neck angle, which can make lines look less severe). For “after” photos, I keep the neck more relaxed and often use a darker, sharper image so the improvement is shown more honestly—not exaggerated by lighting.

If we matched the “after” photo to the exact same brightness and skin tone as the “before,” the neck lines would look even softer—sometimes so much that people ask if it was edited. I prefer sharing images this way to give a more realistic sense of what you can expect.

At the two-week check-in, the patient told me her mother was thrilled and asked why she hadn’t done it sooner—comments like that make my day.

Case 2: Woman in her 50s – Neck Wrinkle Filler + Ulthera

This patient recently experienced noticeable weight gain and came in mainly concerned about a heavier double-chin area and deeper neck wrinkles.

In the relaxed (natural) front/side view, the areas of concern show clearly.

When weight changes or aging reduce elasticity, a tightening/lifting procedure becomes especially important. In these cases, a “random firming laser” isn’t enough—choosing a treatment with proven depth and consistency matters.

That’s why I strongly prefer Ulthera for neck and jawline laxity in the right candidates.

When I first opened my clinic and decided to bring in Ulthera, some colleagues told me, “Why invest in such an expensive device? You’re not in Gangnam—who will do it?”

From a business perspective, it can be a tough decision. But from a medical perspective, I value reliable, repeatable results more than cutting costs.

Lifting treatments aren’t something most people want to do frequently. When you do decide to invest in a lifting session, it should be something that delivers clear improvement—and ideally doesn’t require constant repetition.

Interestingly, because of that approach, I now perform Ulthera quite often in the Incheon/Gimpo area—sometimes even more than I did while working in Gangnam.

This image was shared with consent. It is an original, unedited photo of the same person, taken in the same location.

As you can see, the deeper horizontal neck lines become noticeably shallower after treatment. As with Case 1, the “after” photo is slightly darker and sharper to avoid overstating improvement with flattering lighting.

One small downside: the deeper crease just below the necklace line also improved, but it isn’t captured as clearly in the 2‑week follow-up angle (unfortunately!).

Important: Results vary by individual. Please make sure you receive a thorough consultation about possible side effects such as pigmentation, bruising, swelling, or temporary unevenness before proceeding with any treatment.

Finally, a quick reminder: while treating neck wrinkles is helpful, the double-chin line (jawline-to-neck contour) is often the detail that makes the biggest difference in your overall profile—regardless of age or gender. If you’re planning to go mask-free, it’s a great time to refine this area.

Thank you.
