All procedures may produce different results, and it is important to have a thorough consultation beforehand regarding possible side effects (pigmentation, bruising, swelling, etc.).
Case: Woman in her early 40s

She has had a lot of freckles since adolescence and her school years. She even underwent laser treatment about 20 years ago.

She had been thinking, “I’m already an older woman,” and hadn’t considered any treatments, but eventually decided to proceed at her husband’s suggestion.

Pigmentation and Blemish Treatment: A Thoughtful Approach
Treatment for melasma, blemishes, and pigmentation depends heavily on the type and depth of the pigment. While results may take time, consistent and properly guided care will eventually pay off.
However, meaningless or repeated sessions of simple pico toning alone will rarely yield satisfying results. Even if all pigmentation looks the same to the naked eye, factors like:
- Whether the pigment is in a superficial or deep layer
- The condition of surrounding skin (e.g., thin, red, sensitive)
…can completely change how a laser should be applied.
For effective pigmentation treatment, each session should be tailored to the individual’s skin on that day, adjusting points and technique accordingly. Simply performing dozens of uniform toning or pico toning sessions, each lasting 5–10 minutes, without customization, offers little value.
The key is to receive proper, precise pigmentation treatment from the start.
Thank you.
