Non-surgical facial contouring: correction of sunken under-eyes and peanut-shaped cheeks.

Have you ever looked at your face recently and felt like it’s sagging?

Why does our face gradually sag as we age?

Before procedure: June 8, 2024 – After procedure: August 24, 2024

These photos were posted with consent and are the original images of the same person, taken at the same location without any edits.

The effects of any procedure may vary, and it’s important to have thorough consultation beforehand regarding possible side effects (such as pigmentation, bruising, or swelling).

Simply put, it really sags

Over time, the skin on our face becomes thinner (as volume decreases),
and the remaining volume sags downward due to gravity.

So how does this look?

Of course—it naturally sags downward, right?!

So, how can we address a face that’s sagging like this?

Within just one year of opening, our clinic not only had the highest Juvederm usage and the most before-and-after reviews in the region,
but recently, after just one and a half years, we were selected as an Incheon TOP 5 / Nationwide TOP 100 Juvederm clinic!

My favorite applications for Juvederm aren’t just lips or cheeks—they’re for treating areas where fat loss creates a sunken appearance, such as:

  • Nasolabial folds
  • Front cheek hollowing (under-eye hollows)
  • Side cheek hollowing
  • Temporal hollowing

Case: Early 40s female

  • Front cheek hollowing
  • Side cheek hollowing
  • Peanut-shaped face

She said:
“Doctor, my face is sagging too much. It doesn’t look like it used to, and I look tired.”

Hollowing in the front cheeks can cause exposure of the “Indian band” and deepen the nasolabial folds,
while hollowing in the side cheeks combined with sagging of the lower jaw creates a peanut-shaped face.

For these complex reasons, many patients come in saying,
“Doctor, my face looks like it’s sagging too much.”

No matter how expensive a laser you use, you cannot fill areas that are sunken.

Can’t we just lift the sagging areas with a laser or thread lift?

Unfortunately… 😢
The sagging soft tissue lacks elasticity,
and even pulling won’t restore the sunken areas.

Ultimately, the sagging, soft tissue needs to be restored and firmed,…

Those hollow, shadowed areas that appear sunken can be filled with Juvederm Voluma.

Then, a few months later, you can return to your previously smooth and contoured facial shape.

The non-surgical contouring we perform at our clinic, combining Juvederm Voluma + Ulthera Thermage, has several advantages:

  • Minimal downtime – you can return to daily life the very next day.

Our clinic is near the airport, so we see a lot of flight attendants.
You know how they love to maintain a natural and clean image ^^!
They absolutely dislike anything excessive, so we’ve done quite a bit of Juvederm Voluma for them.

I’m looking forward to the day when I board a flight and meet a flight attendant who I personally treated with Juvederm Voluma!

The natural results speak for themselves.

As for the drawbacks… (Yes, let’s be honest here):

  • The design must be precise.
  • The procedure is highly dependent on the skill of the practitioner—you can’t trust just anyone.

Ulthera Thermage wasn’t originally in our clinic, but I invested several million won to bring it in.
Here’s why:

  • The combination of Ulthera Thermage with Juvederm Voluma is excellent,
  • but the downside is that since Thermage is so effective at tightening, it can sometimes make the cheeks look sunken or overly thin.

Of course, some patients actually like that effect!

However, if you’re getting Juvederm Voluma from us, it usually means your cheeks lack volume and sunken areas are already pronounced.

If we’ve carefully restored volume with Juvederm Voluma,
but then you go to another clinic for Ulthera Thermage,
after just a few months…

Don’t worry—my eyes are full of passionate, joyful energy.

I once experienced someone coming in after the volume they had painstakingly—painstakingly!!!!!!—created was completely lost.
At that moment, I realized, “This just won’t work,” and immediately decided to purchase the proper solution.

Fortunately, other patients have shared their before-and-after experiences with great intentions, hoping others won’t repeat the same mistakes.

And… the price…?
Unfortunately, the high cost, which not everyone can afford, might be the biggest drawback…

Still, if your goal is to avoid surgical lifting, threads, or heavy fillers,
and you want something natural with minimal side effects,
this really seems to be the best option available for now.

Thank you.
