Lasers used for dark spot (hyperpigmentation) treatment work by selectively targeting melanin—the pigment that causes the discoloration—so the spot can gradually fade and clear.

Treating Dark Spots in the Eyebrow Area: Why It Requires Extra Care

When pigmentation extends into the eyebrows or hair-bearing areas, treatment becomes more delicate. Because the pigment may overlap with hair follicles, there is a risk that eyebrow hairs may not grow back in the treated area. For that reason, laser treatment for dark spots within the eyebrows should always be approached cautiously, and outcomes can’t be guaranteed.

In fact, some patients visit us after being turned away—or only partially treated—at other clinics due to the location of the spot.

Below is a real follow-up case where pigmentation was present within the eyebrows, along with the results.

Because the dark spot extended into the eyebrow, we carefully reviewed precautions with the patient and proceeded conservatively.

The patient returned for a follow-up two weeks later. With good at-home care and adherence to the post-treatment instructions, the spot cleared even more smoothly than expected.

Aftercare Matters

After treatment, we provided detailed guidance on post-procedure care and precautions to support healing and help minimize the chance of rebound pigmentation.

For anyone considering dark spot laser treatment for the first time—especially if you’re feeling nervous—we hope these consented before-and-after images help you feel more informed and reassured.

Thank you.
