Juvederm Voluma: Long-Term Results (6 Syringes) + Real-World Follow-Up

If you’re considering Juvederm Voluma—or you’re comparing Juvederm fillers with collagen stimulators like PLLA, PDLLA, CaHA, and other bio-stimulators—this long-term case review should be helpful.

This is my first time sharing this full timeline publicly, and I hope it gives you a clearer, more realistic idea of what you can expect over time.

Photo note (with consent): These are original, unedited photos of the same person, taken in the same location.

Timeline reference: Before: June 30, 2023  –  After: December 20, 2024

Important: Results vary by individual. Please have a thorough consultation before any procedure and review possible side effects such as pigmentation, bruising, swelling, and more.

Why Long-Term Follow-Up Matters (Especially for Fillers)

1) We often see patients again in everyday, “real life” situations.

Because our clinic is located in residential areas (near apartment complexes rather than a busy business district), many patients naturally come back later—not necessarily for cosmetic treatments, but for everyday concerns like itching or eczema.

That makes it easier for us to check whether results from treatments like Juvederm Voluma and other fillers are still holding up after 6 months or 1 year—without the patient needing to schedule a special “results check” visit.

It also means we can hear honest feedback quickly about overall satisfaction and how long the improvement lasts.

Case Review: Juvederm Voluma (6 Syringes Total)

2) Today’s highlight: a Juvederm Voluma review using 6 syringes in total.

This patient first started treatments with me in April 2023, including Juvederm Voluma, Ultherapy, jaw Botox, and contouring. Between April and December 2023, she gradually received a total of 6 syringes of Juvederm Voluma.

Case 106: Woman in her 50s – concerns include nasolabial folds, under-eye hollows, and hollowing in the side cheeks.

Starting Point (April 2023): Main Concerns

Before treatment: facial volume loss and nasolabial folds
  1. Nasolabial folds
  2. Jawline and chin definition

I explained a plan focused on the entire lower face—including the jawline, side-cheek hollowing, and the “sunken” look in the front cheeks.

We did confirm improvement in both the front and side cheek hollows, but because the hollowing was fairly deep, there were some natural limitations after the initial sessions.

To aim for a bit more lift and a smoother transition through the midface, we proceeded gradually—typically one syringe at a time—eventually reaching a total of six syringes.

Below are the long-term results from April through December.

What Stood Out in This Case

Without under-eye fat repositioning, surgery, or threads, the under-eye area, nasolabial folds, and hollow cheeks improved gradually—and most importantly, in a way that still looks natural over time.

I previously shared content about Sculptra (PLLA), which was studied and approved using a total of six vials in many protocols. In a similar “cumulative” way, Juvederm Voluma may also require multiple syringes depending on your starting point and goals—often 3 syringes or more for noticeable volume improvement.

Most of all, I’m truly grateful to OOO for trusting the process, choosing Juvederm Voluma consistently, and allowing us to share these photos.

Thank you.
