Laser Toning (10 Sessions) – Dermatology Treatment for Acne Scars, Melasma, Freckles, and Pigmentation

This post was written in accordance with the Medical Service Act and was created by a medical institution operated by a board-certified dermatologist at Hev Clinic, with the consent of the patient who received treatment.
It is not intended to emphasize treatment effects or personal treatment experiences, but rather to provide general information about dermatology and aesthetic procedures.
The photos used in this post meet the following conditions:

  • The same individual appears in both the before and after photos.
  • The dates when the photos were taken before and after treatment are specified.
  • The photos were taken under the same conditions.

This post provides various medical information, including possible side effects that may occur from the procedure. In accordance with Article 56, Paragraph 2, Subparagraph 7 of the Medical Service Act, diagnoses and treatment results may vary depending on the individual, and both effects and side effects may differ from person to person.

Today, I’m going to share the conversation from the very first time I met OOO—just as it happened.

Hello!

Case 115: Female, early 30s

Before: November 25, 2023  |  After: July 23, 2024

All photos in this post were shared with consent and show the same person, taken in the same location, with no retouching or edits.

Results can vary from person to person. Before any procedure, we recommend a thorough consultation about potential side effects such as temporary pigmentation, bruising, or swelling.

“What brings you in today?”

The patient had been dealing with recurring breakouts. The acne would calm down, but it consistently left behind noticeable marks.

On top of that, freckles and pigmentation started appearing on the front of the cheeks and under the eyes, making the overall complexion look dull and uneven.

“Have you tried any treatments before?”

“No—this is my first time visiting a dermatology clinic.”

For anyone coming to a dermatology clinic for the first time—or for those who have tried treatments before but felt disappointed with the results—I want to reaffirm something important:

With the right treatment plan and a clinic that truly knows how to tailor it to your skin, your complexion can improve dramatically.

Before vs. After: 10 Sessions of a Customized Pigmentation Program

This patient had no prior dermatology experience and chose our clinic after reviewing our results portfolio.

When it comes to pigmentation and acne-mark care, the biggest difference often isn’t which laser or device is used—it’s who performs the treatment and how precisely it’s customized. That’s what really changes outcomes.

Before: November 25, 2023  |  After: July 23, 2024

All photos in this post were shared with consent and show the same person, taken in the same location, with no retouching or edits.

Results can vary, and a detailed consultation is essential—especially when discussing possible side effects such as temporary pigmentation, bruising, or swelling.

Note: All before-and-after photos are original, unedited images. They may appear clearer on a PC screen than on mobile.

One more note: At the beginning, the patient felt the cost was a bit higher than expected, so she hesitated. But as her skin steadily improved, coworkers—and even an old classmate—noticed and asked where she was getting treated. She decided to continue with the same customized program at our clinic.

A Message to the Patient

Hello, [Patient Name],

Even after moving farther away, thank you for continuing to make the trip. I hope the visits weren’t too inconvenient. Please keep up your maintenance care so your skin stays healthy and glowing!

And truly—thank you for always responding so warmly, even when I’d give you my shy little reminders (haha).

I’m sending my greetings once again through this post (hopefully you’ll come across it someday).

Thank you.
