Why Summer Is the Best Time to Start Pigmentation Care

Summer brings stronger UV exposure and more outdoor activities—so it’s common for existing blemishes and melasma to worsen after trips to the mountains or the beach.

During consultations, I often hear: “If it’s going to get worse in the summer anyway, can’t I just wait and start in the fall?” It’s a bit like saying, “I’ll start dieting in the fall, so I don’t need to worry about summer yet.” (I get it… but still!)

In reality, starting proactive care during the season when pigmentation is most likely to flare makes everything easier later—your progress tends to be steadier, and long-term maintenance becomes much simpler.

Case Study: Pigmentation Treatment for a First-Time Patient (Male, 40s)

I still remember meeting this patient for the first time.

From his expression to the way he spoke, he came across as calm, refined, and genuinely kind.

At the time, our clinic had only recently opened. Even though the space is quite large, it’s tucked away—so it’s not the easiest place to spot at first glance. (Honestly, it can feel a little “hidden.”)

So I naturally wondered how he found us. As we talked, I learned he’s the spouse of a well-known clinic director in Geomdan New Town—and also a clinic director himself in another region.

With so many trusted colleagues around him, I’m truly grateful that he chose to start his pigmentation treatment journey with me.

Now, as the cold winter has passed and summer approaches again, we’re reaching the finish line of this treatment plan.

Before & After Photos

He was already tall and handsome—but with brighter, more even-looking skin, he truly looks like a movie star now.

At every visit, he shared warm encouragement—and as a senior physician who has also opened a clinic, he offered thoughtful feedback on what we could improve and what we might add in the future. I’m sincerely thankful, Doctor.

(A respectful bow.)

Because he maintains his skin so well, I hope I’ll see him less as a “patient” and more simply as a neighbor in the community.

I’m reminded again how fortunate I am—our staff, and everyone who visits our clinic, brings so much positive energy that it truly makes each day feel rewarding.

Thank you.
