Today’s Topic: Scar Treatment Using CureJet

Today, I’d like to share a practical look at scar treatment—one of the most common concerns I see in clinic—especially focusing on treatment approaches using CureJet.

I first introduced CureJet on our blog back in February 2023.
I began the first demo in December 2022, and considering CureJet officially launched in October 2022, we were fortunate to be among the earlier clinics using it.

At the time, if you searched “CureJet scar” on Naver Blog, there were very few real case posts—and our blog was one of the only places consistently sharing true before-and-after reviews.

Fast forward two years, and now many dermatology clinics across Korea are using CureJet.

Even so, if you search “CureJet Juvellook scar treatment” on Naver…

…you’ll notice that 10% or more of the cases shown are from my own patients.

And if you exclude posts that only show the device or promotional images, I believe the real share of clinical case photos would be even higher.

Considering that so many dermatology and plastic surgery clinics now have CureJet, that’s a meaningful number. (^^)

Why Technique Matters: Avoiding Depressions & Complications

What’s exciting about this newer CureJet approach is that it can help improve refractory scars that were previously difficult to treat—and it’s now being adopted not only in Korea, but globally. Depending on the protocol, it may also be applied for concerns like wrinkles, skin elasticity, and even hair loss.

That said, as I’ve mentioned in previous posts, CureJet requires very precise settings and careful technique. If we don’t properly consider the scar type, skin type, and current skin condition—or if we inject too strongly or too much—the scar can look worse, or the skin can be damaged.

I worried this might happen as the treatment became more widely used—and unfortunately, within just one year, I’ve started seeing real-world examples where those concerns became reality.

(On a side note: I’ll also be visiting Germany in February!)
^^!

Conference announcement related to CureJet lectures in Germany/Europe

In February 2025, I’ll be giving two lectures at a conference attended by dermatologists and plastic surgeons from Germany and across Europe.

But my main focus remains here in Korea: helping more patients receive CureJet scar treatment with fewer side effects—and, most importantly, reducing the risk of issues like skin depressions or other complications.

Recently, I also felt that I should share more of my clinical experience through education and lectures, so that safe and effective treatment standards can spread more widely.

In-House Seminar: Real CureJet Scar Cases + Hands-On Training

That’s why, for our upcoming in-house seminar, I decided to make CureJet scar treatment the main topic right away.

We reviewed a wide range of cases, including before-and-after results from CureJet acne scar treatments.

In addition to my own cases, we also covered Director Lim’s CureJet and Potenza treatments for acne, pores, and scars. With live demonstrations included, it became a well-rounded, hands-on seminar.

We received a lot of thoughtful feedback, and attendees asked excellent, detailed questions.

It’s genuinely disappointing to occasionally see reviews showing skin depressions after CureJet treatments. My hope is that moving forward, more people can receive scar treatment properly and safely—without unnecessary worry about side effects.

Thank you.
