The effects of each procedure vary, so please consult thoroughly before undergoing treatment regarding potential side effects such as pigmentation, bruising, swelling, etc.

As we age, the skin begins to change.
One of the biggest features is loss of elasticity.

Our skin is supported by:

  • Collagen, which acts as a pillar in the skin
  • Elastin, which binds collagen and provides structure

When these components weaken, the skin loses elasticity.

As we get older, these pillars become shorter and less functional, causing the skin to sag.

If that happens, areas like thin skin, eyelids, back of hands, and neck show signs of aging faster.
Wrinkles appear and elasticity decreases.
Neck wrinkles can form horizontally or vertically.

Each type of wrinkle has different causes, so the approach must also be different.

Vertical wrinkles: Today, I want to focus on these.

Horizontal wrinkles: I have been treating these with fillers, Ulthera, and skin Botox. I’ve posted about these several times.

Case: Neck wrinkles in a woman in her 40s

Although horizontal wrinkles were present, the main concern was vertical wrinkles, like a chicken comb.

When speaking or making facial expressions, the skin on her neck had become thinner, wrinkled, and creased. She expressed that she disliked it very much.

Vertical wrinkles often indicate a deficiency in collagen or elastin, so strengthening the structure is necessary for significant improvement.

Before vs After Treatment

As always, the effects vary, so consult thoroughly about potential side effects such as pigmentation, bruising, swelling, etc.

In fact, she had been receiving elasticity treatments consistently and was already receiving skin Botox for her face.

While her face was satisfactory, she had always felt regret about her neck.

After the neck wrinkle radius treatment, she reported being very satisfied and happy.
(She even mentioned releasing some frustration!)

Thank you.
