After a breakout clears, it’s common for dark spots (post-acne pigmentation) and red marks to linger.

One of the biggest reasons acne marks become scars is picking or scratching. When you squeeze a pimple by hand, it can push inflammation deeper into the skin and create a deeper wound. Repeated touching can lead to a “three-in-one” problem: pigmentation + redness + indented (depressed) scars.

Case Study: Woman in Her 40s – Acne Marks & Depressed Scars

In OOO’s case, she had already noticed areas where the skin looked slightly indented.

Even though she knew she shouldn’t, she kept picking at new breakouts—creating a cycle of repeated irritation and ongoing injury.

To help break that cycle, we combined:

  • Laser treatment to reduce dark pigmentation and red acne marks
  • CureJet to support the depressed areas and improve the look of indented scars

Because she was still experiencing active breakouts, we also started treatments aimed at reducing new acne—so fewer new marks and scars would form.

Before & After

These results reflect OOO’s consistent commitment over a relatively long treatment period.

You can see how the previously indented areas gradually begin to fill in and look smoother over time.

CureJet vs. Traditional Scar Treatments (Downtime)

Traditional scar treatments (such as Fraxel) often come with noticeable downtime. That’s why many people schedule them around school breaks, annual leave, or vacation.

With CureJet, scar care may be possible with little to no downtime. Over time, many patients also report that their skin feels more hydrated and looks healthier overall.

In other words, it can feel like a “two-in-one” benefit: improving the look of acne scars while also supporting overall skin condition.

Thank you.
